Key Qualities of College Teacher:Morals,Ethic and Competence

高等院校担负着人才培养、科学研究和社会服务三大职责,高等院校的教师正是履行这三大职能的主力军。因此,探讨高校教师的素质具有重要意义。高校教师素质的内涵主要包括师德、师理、师能三个方面,提高高校教师素质也应从这三方面着手,就是要加强师德建设、重视师理学习、强化师能培训。

There are three major tasks for colleges, i.e. education, scientific research and social service. The teachers in colleges are the main force of implementing these functions. So the discussion on the teachers＇ qualities is meaningful. The key qualities of college teachers are consisted in their morals, ethic and competence. Likewise, the approaches to improve the teachers＇ qualities should be started from these three aspects, i.e. the construction of teachers＇ morals, teachers＇ ethical acquisition and training of teachers＇ competence should all be consolidated.
