在我国,应试替考者被形象地称为“枪手”,蕴涵着一定的含义,然而许多词典里和报纸上的译文却没有很好地体现其文化内涵。本文拟从文化意象对接探讨“枪手”一词的最佳英译。

In China, a person who sits for an examination for someone is commonly known as qiangshou, which contains certain cultural implication. Yet, many English lexicon dictionaries and newspapers fail to convey its accurate cultural meaning. This paper attempts to probe into the best English translation for qiangshou from the perspective of cultural image equivalence.
