Chen Yun was a great proletarian revolutionary and statesman, an outstanding Marxist, one of the pioneers and founders of China＇s socialist economic construction as one. Of Chen Yun＇s economic and social development thinking, the idea of harmonious development is of great theoretical significance in that it serves as a guiding ideology in constructing a harmonious socialist society today. This article analyzes his ideology of the harmonious development of society and his train of thought and also points out the significance of his ideas to the building of a harmonious society today.
