李商隐和孟浩然虽然生活在不同时代,作品风格也多有不同,但他们对诗歌艺术的追求是一致的。李商隐的爱情诗和孟浩然的山水诗,都选用了较多的残缺意象和空白意象,给人想像的空间,以达到一种言外之意、蕴外之致的艺术效果,反映了他们理想不能实现的痛苦和对美好精神世界的追求。

Although Li Shangyin and Meng Haoran lived in different periods, their styles of poems were different. However, they had the same pursuit of poetic art.
