The advantages of gas-steam combined cycle power generation are presented together with a description of different possible combinations. The effect of gas turbine operating condition on the cycle, design of the waste heat boiler and proper choice of temperature parameters, the design of the steam turbine-generator set, fuel oil processing system, as well as layout of the combined cycle power plant are discussed.
