和谐社会的概念虽然不是自古有之,但其思想在古人的论述中就已形成,古代社会无论是中国还是西方均是如此,但真正对和谐社会思想做出贡献的则是社会主义者,无论是空想社会主义还是马克思主义者,还是今天的共产党人。构建社会主义和谐社会是中国共产党的正确决策,亦是符合国情的现实选择。我们所要构建的和谐社会是社会主义的,是动态发展的,是开放的,是现代意义上的和谐社会。

The concept of harmonious society did not exist in the ancient times, but that thought hod already existed in the papers of the ancient scholars both at home and abroad. However, these who dedicated more to the thought of harmonious society were the socialists, no matter they were utopian socialists, Marxists, or even today~ Communists. It is a correct decision - making of the Commu- nist Party of China to construct socialistic harmonious society, which is the realistic choice according to the national conditions. The harmonious society that we want to design is a socialistic, dynamic and developmental, exoteric harmonious society and is also a modem harmonious society.
