The Change of the Economic Pattern in the Eastern Asia and Its Impact on the Economic and Trade Relation Across the Taiwan Strait

20世纪90年代以来,东亚经济格局发生重大变化,由日本″单极″变成了中日″双头″。这一变化导致两岸经济从单方面的依赖到互相依赖;在贸易平衡、外汇储备等方面台湾对祖国大陆更加依赖;台商投资从短期经营到本土化经营;两岸产业分工从产业间发展到产业内、产品内;两岸从企业间一般技术合作到行业组织间标准方面的合作。

Since the 1990s, the economic pattem in Eastem Asia has underdone great change. In the past Japan was the monopole while now China and Japan were the twin-head. This change leads to the transformation of the economic relation across the Taiwan Strait. China mainland depended on Taiwan more formerly. However, nowadays they depend on each other in the economic field. As to the balance of trade and the foreign exchange reserve, Taiwan depends on the mainland much more. The investment on the China mainland by Taiwan businessmen transfer from short-time investment to invest natively. The industrial division between the two sides has transferred from the inter-industry division to the intra-industry and intra-product division. The technological cooperation has changed from the common technological cooperation among enterprises to the standard cooperation among guilds.
