“以夷款夷”是《海国图志》写作目的之一,也是魏源“夷务”思想重要组成部分之一,然而史学界却鲜有注目。“以夷款夷”作为魏源重要军事外交主张,是他在特定时代背景下救亡图存的经世致用思想之高度升华。它在中国走向近代化的历程中所起到重要的作用。

It is aiso an important part of Weiyuan＇s foreigns diplomacy thoughts . but few people put theirs eyes on it in history academe. As an important military diplomacy ideas ,it is a great development on Weiyuan＇s practical utility thoughts during the particular times. Its impact on chinese modernization is difficult to estimate.
