Brief discussion on the industrial development and spatial development in small towns in the south of Jiangsu province in the new ages

回顾苏南小城镇20世纪70年代以来的发展历程,在分析苏南地区小城镇面临的新的机遇和挑战的基础上,提出了苏南地区小城镇新时期的产业发展策略和空间应对策略。并将建设国际化小城镇作为苏南地区小城镇的发展目标。

This paper reviewed the phylogeny of small towns in the south of Jiangsu province since 20th century 70＇s, analyzed the new opportunity and challenge which small towns in the south of Jiangsu province are facing, and proposed the strategy of industrial development and spatial settlement in the new ages and the internationalize small towns was regarded as the developmental goal of small towns in the south of Jiangsu province.
