和谐就是对立的统一,要实现社会和谐必须把握对立统一,切实解决矛盾。把握对立统一就要承认矛盾的客观性,分析矛盾的特殊性,了解矛盾运动的规律性。构建社会主义和谐社会是一个艰巨复杂和渐进的过程,必须坚持唯物辩证法和以人为本的科学发展观的指导,切实解决前进中的种种矛盾,悉心培育和谐因素。

Harmony is the unity in opposites. In order to realize the society harmony, there is a must to focus on the law of unity in opposites and overcome the contradictions actively with admittance and analysis of their objective and specialties and regularities. To build a socialist harmonious society is a hard, complicated and gradual procedure which must adhere to the materialist dialectics and the scientific development view on the basis of humanity, resolve the conflicts in the process to cultivate the harmonious factors.
