Spoof, or the Chinese slang term "E-Gao", was the most popular word in China in 2006. From a legal perspective, spoof is the reflection of the constitutional right, with which citizens exercise their right to the freedom of speech and so should be protected by the state when citizens fully exercise their right to the freedom of speech in the form of "E-Gao". And in no way should citizens infringe upon the interests of the state, the society, the collective or the legitimate freedom and rights of other citizens. Works of spoof are not derivative works as are defined in the Intellectual Property Law, but works of parody, which do not infringe upon the copyright of original writers.
