2007年1月6日，新一年的太阳热烈地照耀着直布罗陀海峡两岸的红砂褐土。下午时分，激动人心的2007达喀尔拉力赛以185辆汽车、247辆摩托车和85台卡车的可观规模，在132辆救援或服务汽车、155台救援维修卡车，以及大批的机械师、司机、医生、后勤服务人员的后援下，在运输机、直升机、有关国家派出的军警、来自世界各地的游客、当地民众和各国媒体记者的助阵下，从欧洲葡萄牙的里斯本直到非洲塞内加尔的达喀尔，开始了有史以来第29场竞技盛典。
The 29th grand ceremony—the Dakar Rally from Lisbon of Portugal in Europe to Dakar of Senegal in Africa started in the afternoon of 6.January 2007. As invited by Renault Truck,I,being a reporter from the 'TranspoWorld',have the opportunity to enjoy the second half of the race in Africa,to feel personally the charming of the race,to see with my own eyes the novel show of Renault truck and witnessed the highly praised deed of the veteran participant who has always been taking part in the event from 1979 to 2007.
