确定俗词的内涵与外延,是开展俗词研究的前提。传统词学多从雅俗之辨的角度论述俗词,认为俗词即语言俚俗的艳情词,当代学者对俗词的定义异见迭出,尚无定论。通过总结历代学者有关词之雅俗的诸多评论,依据唐宋民间俗词特别是敦煌曲子词的文本内容,结合唐宋文人俗词的创作实际,可以从语言特征、表达方式及题材取向等方面,为俗词确立一个比较恰当中肯的定义。所谓俗词,其内涵包括题材的适俗性、表达的直露性、语言的浅俗性和审美功能的消遣性,其外延则包括民间俗词和文人俗词两类。

Well defining the intension and extension of Ci Poetry is an important prerequisite for the study of popular Ci poetry.But the contemporary scholars have given some so different definitions of the popular Ci poetry.So,we in the paper study the refined and popular theories of ancient literature and art,sum up the comments about Ci poetry seriously,according to the texts of folk popular Ci poetry in the Tang and Song dynasties,especially those kept at Dun Huang,and compare it with the creative practice of scholars at that time.And so that,we can give a proper definition of popular Ci poetry based on their feature of language,expression way,and subjective tendency,in order to clarify the intension and extension of Ci poetry,clear away the conceptual confusion and give a reasonable answer for that.
