This paper introduces the principle and characteristic of the air-core coil current transformer, designs AC-sampling and.processing circuit, and introduces the process of software detail. Theoretical analysis and test results verify that the air-core coil current transformer has economical bulk, good linearity, broad band and non-saturation, especially for the requirements of computer measure and protection. It has been successfully applied to synthetic protecting equipment of magnetic starter used in mine.
