Ms Zhang, 21 years old, an actress of a song and dance troupe, paid her first visit on Oct. 10, 2005, with the chief complaint of a foreign body sensation in the throat for one year. The patient used to be the leading singer of her troupe. But her position was replaced by a new singer, and she didn＇t know the reasons. She was mentally depressed with chest distress, and gradually she got a subjective sensation as if a foreign body was stuck in the throat. She was once diagnosed as having pharyngoneurosis in a certain hospital, and the medication prescribed could not solve the problem. She also had the accompanying symptoms of poor appetite, and scanty and dull colored menses.
