我国处在工业化发展速度加快的进程中的一个显著特征,是对重要矿产资源的需求总量持续扩大。那些需求量大、品位高的矿产资源,尤其是铁矿石等重要矿产资源,供需矛盾仍十分突出。近些年来,国内铁矿石产量已经无法满足钢铁工业的发展,不断扩大的钢铁产能严重依赖铁矿石进口。但持续的铁矿石进口价格上涨,导致我国钢铁工业乃至全国经济发展不堪重负。随着我国经济的持续快速发展,资源的约束对我国国民经济可持续发展的影响也将越来越大,资源安全将关系我国社会经济发展全局。

It is a significant characteristic in the process of the industrialization development in China that the whole demand to important mineral resources continues extent. The supplies of those mineral resources which are in high demands and good quality, especially the important mineral resources such as iron ore, could not meet the demands of the market. In recent years, the iron ore output in domestic can not match the demands of iron and steel industry＇s development, the supply relies on import in very large proportion. The continued increasing price in import iron ore causes lots of problems in iron and steel industry even in the whole country＇s economics. Couple with the economics development continuing in high speeds, the restrict of resources will impact the domestic economics. Resources security will have lots of impact on the whole social economics developments.
