科技期刊退稿工作中的人文关怀

More concern should be given to the contributors when rejecting manuscripts

针对有些科技期刊编辑部只注重可用稿件的退修工作,而忽视对不用稿件的恰当处理,退稿工作缺乏为作者服务意识的现状,探讨以人文关怀的理念做好退稿工作的重要意义,并根据工作实践经验,认为通过认真初审,综合专家评审意见,运用准确、客观、恰当、鼓励、关爱的语言,因“稿”制宜地写好退稿函是做好退稿工作的主要途径。

Some editorial staff of sci-tech journals pay more attention to the revision of accepted manuscripts, and neglect the handling of rejected manuscripts. This paper discusses the importance of humane solicitude for the contributors of rejected papers. A letter of rejection should be earnestly written using exact, objective, appropriate, encouraging, and kind words on the basis of the views of in-house evaluation and the comments of peer reviewers. Properly writing a letter of rejection in line with the conditions of the paper is the primary task of handling the rejection of proffered manuscripts.
