Combining the key mechanism of evolutionary algorithm, this paper has thoroughly analyzed the characteristics and tactics at every stage in evolutionary algorithm design. The coding way, evaluating function, choosing strategies and operators, which are often used in evolutionary algorithm design presently, have been compared and analyzed in detail. At the same time, some new ideas and general design principles existing in current evolutionary algorithm design has been discussed.
