Determination of Atropine Sulfate in Atropine Eye Drops by Ion Pair Colorimetry

目的:建立以离子对比色法测定硫酸阿托品滴眼液中主药含量的方法。方法:在一定pH值递质中,硫酸阿托品与酸性染料溴甲酚绿结合成稳定的离子对,用氯仿提取离子对,在420nm波长处测定其吸收度并计算其含量,将其与《中国医院制剂规范》采用的中和法结果进行比较。结果:2种方法所得结果含量均在规定范围内,无显著性差异。结论:本方法快捷、简便,适合医院制剂的快速分析。

OBJECTIVE： To determine the content of atropine sulfate in atropine eye drops by ion pair colorimetry. METHODS： Stable ion pairs were formed from the combination of atropine sulfate with bromocresol green （acidic dye） in a medium at an appropriate pH value, and the ion pairs were extracted with chloroform. The absorbability was detected by UV at a wavelength of 420nm and the content was computed as well, which were compared with the results determined through the neutralization method adopted by the China Hospital Preparation Norms. RESULTS： The contents determined by the 2 methods showed no significant difference, with both within the specified scope. CONCLUSION： The ion pair colorimetry method is rapid and simple, and suitable for the rapid analysis of atropine sulfate in atropine eye drops.
