辽杂25号由辽宁省农业科学院作物研究所以自选不育系306A为母本,自选恢复系304为父本组配而成。该杂交种产量潜力大,米质好,是优质食用型高粱杂交种;抗叶病,抗倒伏,抗丝黑穗病,活秆成熟;熟期适中,适应性强。

Liaoza No. 25 was developed by Crop Research Institute, Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It was bred by crossing the sterile line 306A as female parent with the restoring line 304 as male parent. The hybrid is a food-use sorghum with high grain yield and good quality. The hybrid is not only highly resistant to leaf disease, lodging and head smut but also staygreen; it is widely adapted for its suitable growth duration.
