A Tentative Discussion on Classification of English Sense Relation

本文通过对英语语义关系分类多样化现象的分析,就其中的并义关系、上下义及分类关系的归属问题提出了意见,即并义关系是一种常见却经常被错误理解的语义关系,而分类关系实际上就是上下义关系。

How sense relation is classified has caused disagreement among semanticists. This paper centers around the sense relation of incompatibility, hyponymy and taxonomy, stating that incompatibility is a type of sense relation which is always misinterpreted while taxonomy and hyponymy share too many similarities to be classified into different types of sense relation.
