摘要
当前大学英语教学的改革方向是采用交际语言教学和测试方法培养和考核学生的应用语言能力,尤其是听说能力。目前国内许多考试机构和教学机构都正在努力改进其听力理解考试的设计指导思想和题型。本文旨在研究交际性听力理解考试任务设计。研究依据交际性语言测试原理,以Bachman&Palmer(1996)的考试开发方法为指导,建立听力交际任务特点描写系统,并利用它对影响广泛的国内、外听力教材和大规模听力考试中的听力任务进行分析,掌握其中的命题特点和规律,从而为大学英语听力理解考试全面、科学、准确地测量应用性听力能力提供设计思路。
The current college English teaching reform is aimed at the adoption of communicative language teaching and testing to foster and measure students' communicative language ability, especially listening and speaking ability. Many testing and teaching institutions are endeavoring to improve the design principle and test format of their listening comprehension tests. This paper is a study of communicative listening comprehension task design. Following the principle of communicative language testing in general and the test development approach proposed in Bachman and Palmer (1996) in particular, the study constructs a framework of communicative listening task characteristics. This framework is then applied to the analysis of the listening tasks in influential listening course books and public tests. The results help specify the way of writing listening tasks, and hence shed light on the scientific and accurate assessment of communicative listening ability in college English listening comprehension tests.
