有着亚洲“四小龙”美誉的香港属经济发达城市,其建筑业主要是城市建设。在香港,业主一般对总承建商资质没有机械设备方面的要求,进行工程招投标时主要看总承建商以往的施工业绩和企业的经济实力(银行出具的保函)。因此,澳大利亚、法国等一流的建筑承包商都没有设备,施工中所用的设备都是外包。目前,仅香港特区政府公务局和房屋署明确规定打桩工程最高级别C级承建商必须最少拥有的机械设备为:(1)大口径磨桩牌照承建商最少拥有:9台70t以上的履带起重机、6台2.5m以上直径的磨桩机、3台2.5m以上直径的反循环钻机、6套钻杆、6套锤夹。(2)打桩牌照承建商最少拥有:4台9t以上的液压锤、4台打桩机、2台探土机。
