Accreditation system of higher education in the United States is one of the unique educational managements and quality assurance models, to protect and enhance the quality of its tertiary education. It plays a pivotal role in the U.S. higher education system. It has been evolved according to the ever-changing higher education environment just after its occurrence, till now more than 100 years. Although it has formed a number of unique features, there are still some problems with it. With the advent of a new era, higher education and its social environment have undergone tremendous changes, accreditation system of higher education also faces with new situations and challenges.
