The Conception of Renovation of Yanshan Garden——a Renown Garden of Lingnan

通过历史考察、文献研究和现场踏勘,深入研究雁山园的历史沿革和造园艺术,全面展示雁山园山水、岩洞等地质地貌的特征和植物配置、园林建筑的传统风格;从园林文化的继承和城市发展的角度呼吁名园保护,并提出修复构想。

This paper gives a brief introduction to the history of Yanshan Garden as well as its art of buildings. It displays the garden with its hills and streams, grottoes, the disposition of plants and the buildings with classic elegance. It also makes an appeal the governmental departments to concern for the protection, reformation and reconstruction of the garden in view of cultural inheritance and urban development so as to restore its development and cultural position.
