摘要
利用GEOTAIL卫星探测得到的磁场、粒子和波的数据,通过观测伴随着磁场重联的哨声波、静电孤立波、高频静电调制波等波,统计分析了地球磁尾伴随重联过程的哨声波的频率、空间位置分布等特性.结果表明:伴随磁场重联的哨声波,其频率在10~500Hz之间,在磁尾主要分布于等离子体片及其边界层.通过卫星观测结果证实:在导向磁场By较小时(By〈7nT),哨声波在磁场重联过程中起到重要的调制作用,从观测上证实了理论预测和计算机模拟结果.
We observed whistler waves, electrostatic solitary waves(ESW), high frequency electrostatic modulated waves associated with magnetic reconnection with the data of Geotail. In this paper we concentrated on the whistler waves associated with magnetic reconnection in the tail region. The frequency of the whistler waves associated with magnetic reconnection is from 10 Hz to 500 Hz in the magnetotail, and the waves are mostly observed in the neutral sheet, plasma sheet and plasma sheet boundary layer (PSBL). We proved the theory that is whistler waves play an important role in magnetic reconnection when the guide field By is relatively weak by observation, which is consistent with the result of computer simulation.
