摘要 定位掌纹图像中的信息区域ROI(region of interest)是掌纹图像预处理中一项重要的内容.现在的掌纹ROI定位方法都是以边缘提取为基础的.然而边缘提取有其局限性,在一些情况下,无法利用提取的边缘定位一个有效的ROI.提出了一种改进的ROI定位方法,利用二值掌纹镶嵌图来取代传统的边缘提取定位掌纹ROI.与以边缘提取为基础的算法相比,此算法显著地提高了ROI定位的鲁棒性. In palmprint image preprocessing it is important to locate the region of interest (ROI). Most methods of locating the ROI of palmprint now are based on edge detecting. But the edge detecting method has its limits. In some cases it can not locate a proper ROI. A modified method of locating the ROI based on the binary mosaic image of palmprint is proposed. By contrast with the method based on edge detecting, this method improves the accuracy and robustness of locating the ROI of palmprint.
