Cultural Apperception and Landscapes

人的文化感知深刻地规定着人对自身的体验和对整个世界的理解。任何一种视觉艺术表现离开特定的文化情境,都不可能被充分地理解和阐释。同样是对自然的描绘,中国山水画与西方风景画代表着不同民族、不同人群在各自文化系统中培养出来的不同的视觉表现体系以及艺术背后人的情感态度和审美经验。

From the perspective of different cultures shaping different ways of cultural apperception, different nations or groups foster different visual representation systems in their own cultural traditions. Cultural apperception deeply regulates a man＇s feeling about himself and his understanding of the world. Without specific cultural situation, any visual description would not be fully understandable and explainable. Differences lie in visual description, emotional attitude and aesthetic experience between Chinese landscape painting and Western landscape painting.
