培养与提高非外语专业学生的翻译能力——谈大学英语翻译教学的重要性与可行性

On the Necessity of Translation Course for Non-English Majors

翻译教学在大学英语中一直不受重视。尽管教学大纲早就建议开设翻译选修课,但由于缺少教学资源等原因一直未能得到实施。在此在对大学英语翻译教学现状作简要分析,并从时代的需求和外语学习的规律论证大学英语翻译教学的必要性,探索在提高培养非外语专业学生翻译能力教学的可行性。

The study of translation as a professional activity tends to be neglected in college English teaching. The translation course has already been proposed, but lack of teaching resources has made it impossible to pursue this proposal in practice. Based on the analysis of the present situation of the course, the paper demonstrates the necessity of translation course for non-English majors from the perspective of social requirements and the laws of foreign language learning and probes the feasibility of the course.
