一部出自幻想的传记——评《女勇士》的体裁、写作手法和真实性

An Autobiography out of Illusion——Comment on the Literature Type,Writing Wtyle and Authenticity of The Woman Warrior

汤亭亭的《女勇士》被誉为华裔美国文学的开山之作,在美国被作为教材和经典,享有很高的声誉。但是《女勇士》的体裁、写作手法以及《女勇士》是否正面反映了中国传统文化、是否真实代表了美国华裔移民的声音这些问题却一直处于争论中。通过文本内外的分析,认为《女勇士》属于自传文学,并以此为基础,就其创作手法和真实性的问题,提出了自己的看法。

The Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston is recognized as the beginning of American hterature of Chinese Americans, is regarded as the textbook and classic in the US, and enjoys very high reputation. However, there have been arguments over her literature type, writing style and whether or not The Woman Warrior reflects positively Chinese traditional cultures and represents the voice of Chinese immigrants in the US. Based on the analysis inside and outside the texts, this paper holds that The Woman Warrior belongs to autobiographical literature and thus puts forward views on her writing style and authenticity.
