An Examination Into When Fu Shan Was Born

傅山生于万历三十五年,即丁未年(1607年),这可由5个内证、2个旁证来证明。关于其生月与生日,以往学者均以为是阴历六月十九。但万历三十五年有两个六月,即一个六月,一个闰六月,前人忽视了这个问题。经考证,傅山当生于万历三十五年闰六月十九日,即阳历1607年8月11日。

There is no doubt that Fu Shan was born in 1607, Which has been verified by many evidences. As for the date of his birth, the former scholars thought it was June 19 in the lunar calender.But therer were two Junes in 1607,one was the normal, the other was a leap month. They ignored this. After an examination I find out that Fu shan was born on 19th of the intercalary month in the lunar calendar, that is on the 11th of August in the solar calender, in 1607.
