The principles and functions of a kind of static frictional test-bed were introduced. By adopting the principle of total reflection of frustrated light in this test-bed, the real contacting area of the friction pair could be observed. At the same time the frictional force of friction pair can be measured and thus satisfied the needs of friction study.
