摘要
作为一项跨文化活动,翻译的过程中译者要经历从一个文化框架向另一个文化框架的转换。译者首先在源文文本和自己的百科知识的互动中搭建了理解源文的框架,完成对源文的解读,形成基本文本,然后译者需要激活自己关于译语文化的全部知识,形成必要的文化背景框架,这样才能保证在翻译中为译文读者提供搭建理解框架所需的框架构件。
As part of the cross-cultural communication, translators usually would experience certain transformation from one cultural frame to another cultural frame during the procedure of his translation. Translators first build up a frame of understanding source text based on the interaction of the source text and his knowledge. In textual interpretation (exegesis), the primary source is the text that is being interpreted, while commentaries and other tools are secondary sources or less. Secondary sources are his repertoire of cultural knowledge. This theory of the cultural frame influences translation tremendously. The translation process relies heavily on the theory of "analyzing-transferring-reconstructing" pattern for translation.
