On the Mark of the Formation of Nian Army

1855年秋,捻党在亳州的雉河集会盟,推张乐行为盟主,并制定明确的反清纲领和军事编制,同时颁布军事纪律。捻党有了统一的指挥,由秘密分散的群众组织转变成为公开的反清武装,原先所进行的经济斗争由此而转变成为政治斗争。雉河集会盟应成为捻党向捻军转化的标志。

Abstract：In the autumn of 1855, Nian Party held a meeting in Ziheji, Lehang military as their leader. They made concrete outline of fighting against establishments. They also issued military principles. Nian Party had Baozhou and they Qing government unified leadership chose Zhang and set out and changed from separated mass organization into open anti-Qing Dynasty army, and changed from the economical struggle into political struggle. Zhiheji Meeting became the turning mark for the Nian Party into the Nian Army.
