摘要
语料库的作用日益得到人们的认可，但是人们在运用语料库辅助英语教学时大多局限于词汇、语法和阅读等方面，忽略了英语语音的重要性。在当今世界英语各种口音盛行的年代，能否听懂别人带口音的英语成为一种重要的语音技能。网络上的英语口音语料库填补了我国教材在英语变体输入方面的空白，应该成为英语教师常用的工具之一。
The importance of online English resources and of various forms of English has been increasingly recognized. However, attention is mostly paid to the learning of vocabulary, grammar and reading, while ignoring the importance of English pronunciation. At a time when English spoken around the world has become so diversified, learning to discern accents and hence to understand others is becoming an important skill. Online English resources can make up for the blank spot in ELT textbooks in China and should be fully employed by ELT teachers.
