Regionalization is a strategic management process of regional economy. The metropolitan-oriented regionalization of Japan gives a good example for China. To resolve the conflict between development and crowding, the country＇s developing planning leads to the establishment of the metropolitan-oriented regionalization. In China, one of the most important trends of economic regionalization is the urban economic region, stressing the functional relationship between core cities and the outlying counties, and it is equal to the nature of metropolitan areas.
