大学教师不仅是职业、专业,更是一个崇高的事业。大学新教师应具有称职的师德和持之以恒的敬业精神,并以此作为教师职业的“底线”和“生命线”。新教师要了解作为大学教师在教学、科研、服务社会职能中的自由度及其成长发展的逻辑起点,应认识到大学教师的文化地位正面临严峻挑战而有自知之明,进而明确目标和培养自身的能力,在融入社会的实践中形成个人风格。因此新教师应从进教室、进办公室的“第一件事”开始,学习、探索和创新。

Being a university teacher is not only a career, a profession, but also a lofty cause. New university teachers should possess qualified moralities and everlasting professional dedication, and regard these merits as their bottom line and lifeline. New teachers should be aware of the freedom extent in teaching, research and social service, and the logical start of its development, and realize that the cultural status of university teachers is being challenged and have self awareness, hence know their target and develop their abilities, and form individual style in practice. New teachers should start from the ＂first thing＂ in classroom and office to learn, explore and innovate.
