摘要
针对中国英语学习者在话语交流中存在的语音信息障碍问题,结合系统功能语言学、音系学以及信息理论研究成果,对英语话语连续体语言单位的“超音段特征”进行研究,着重从语音系统功能角度,分别探讨英语重音、节奏和语调在音节、词和句子的结构联系方面以及语音信息与话语结构联系方面的信息传递方式与特征,重新认识它们之间的相互作用关系及信息交流的语音规律,为将语音作为连贯话语与听力教学的突破口提供依据。
To address the issues concerning phonological difficulties of the Chinese learners in communication, this paper makes a research on Suprasegmental Features as language units of continuum in speech on phonological level based on the theoretical findings of Modern Linguistics, especially Systemic Functional Linguistics, Phonology and Information theories. The paper focuses respectively on the features and representations of message transmission in connected speech in terms of stress, rhythm and intonation concerning the structural relation among syllables, words, sentences and between phonological messages and connected speech from the perspective of systemic function of Phonology, so that new understanding of interaction among the three elements and the phonological law in communication will serve as theoretical supports on the assumption that phonological teaching is taken as a break-through for English teaehing in connected speech and hearing.
