Experiances of treating necrotizing fascitis by integrated traditionai chinese and Western medicine over ten years have been accumulated,It can be pointed out that the condition is a rare and severe soft tissue infection with rapid deterioration trends and high mortality. Early diagnosis through alertness of clinicians is essential. The disease is best treated by the method of 'invigorating vitality with eliminating pathogenic factors' of integrated medicine. Integration of treating the body as a whole and local treatment is by all means necessary. The key local therqpy is early or prompt drainge of the infected sites by multiple incisions,to earn satisfactory results.
