A Comparison Between Two English Versions of Shui Hu Chuan

作为一部优秀的中国古典小说,《水浒传》不仅在中国文学史上占据了非常重要的地位,而且在世界文学史上也产生了深远的影响。目前在我国较为流行的《水浒传》的两个英译本为赛珍珠的All Menare Brothers和沙博理的OutlawsofMarsh.本文笔者将对这两个英译本在翻译的风格转换及文化移植方面进行比较。

Shui Hu Chuan is one of the best known Chinese classic novels which have come down through ages. It not only has a certain impact on Chinese literature, but also wins a high praise all over the world. This paper is attempt to compare the two English versions from the transference of the stylistic meaning and the implantation of the cultural meaning.
