文化与民族的密不可分决定了文化选择对民族发展的至关重要性。基诺族民居是其传统文化的集中体现,其现代变迁鲜明地展现了基诺族文化选择的特点。基诺族的文化选择集中表现为对现代文化的认同和追求,对传统文化的有限自觉与建构。基诺族的文化选择,是党的民族政策成功实践的重要体现,也是基诺族人民自主选择的结果,但与保护民族传统文化的要求也存在一定的出入。

The inseparability of culture and people decides the importance of the development of the people by the choice of the culture. Jino minority inhabitants represent their own traditional culture. Their modern vicissitude shows clearly the characteristic and course of Jino minority people＇s cultural choice. It represents the acknowledge, pursuit of modem culture and the limited consciousness and formation of traditional culture. Jino minority people＇s cultural choice represents the successful practice of ethnic minority policies of Communist Party and also the result of Jino minority people＇s own choice, though there is inconsistency between Jino minority people＇s cultural choice and the demand of protecting minority traditional culture.
