陈代光教授对岭南历史地理研究的贡献

Chen Daiguang's Contribution to the Research of Lingnan Historical Geography

陈代光教授是我国一位著名历史地理学者。文章主要论述其在岭南广州、港澳、雷州等城市、南海海上丝绸之路交通、区域历史地理、广东历史地图集编纂、地名、中国历史地理教材建设、历史地理人才培养,以及历史地理为社会经济发展服务等方面的学术成就和重要贡献,以作为对陈代光教授的一种纪念,同时唤起社会各界对这门又古又今、既要看书、又要走路的学科的关注。

Professor Chen Daiguang is a famous scholar of Historical Geography in China. The paper expounds his scholastic attainments and great contribution to so many aspects as Lingnan cities, for instance, Guangzhou, Hongkong, Macao and Leizhou and etc., transportation of South Sea Marine Silk Route, regional historical geography, Guangdong historical atlas compilation, place names in Chinese historical geography, teaching materials compilation, person of historical geography talent training and historical geography serving for the social economical development. The paper is in memory of Professor Chen Daiguang and is at the same time to cause public attention to historical geography, a not only old but also new subject, which needs both reading and investigation.
