摘要
“腾冲”以及“柘俞”城是南诏对腾冲城的建置和命名,它表达了南诏统治者对腾冲历史、文化、地理的认识和希望。本文主要从语言学、历史学等方面分析研究并阐述了“腾冲”以及腾冲古代地名“柘俞”的语义内涵。
Tengehong and Tuoyu are the names of the town of today＇s Tengehong that was installed and so named by Nanzhao authorities. They conveyed the Nanzhao rulers＇ interpretation of and expectation from Tengchong＇s history, culture and geography. In a linguistic and historical approach, the paper elaborates the semantic connotations of the name Tengchong and its ancient name Tuoyu.
