At present, the research of single sideband (SSB) techniques in VHF and UHF bands is emphasized at home and abroad. This paper describes a special double loop phase-locked receiver, which is suitable for the pilot-in-band SSB systems. The principle and performance of the receiver system are presented and the test results are given. Compared with the general long-loop phaselocked receiver, it has a higher speech transmission quality, and a simple configuration with integrated circuits.
