Lu Hsun and Sienkiewicz

鲁迅小说创作大抵取法于外国作家,其中,波兰大作家显克微支是他最喜爱、取法也较多的弱小民族作家之一。大致表现在:创作技巧:讽刺方法(反语),寄悲愤于滑稽;文本结构:小标题的运用;文本表述,从具体语言借鉴到“随感录”式的议论,到简练警拔的结尾艺术,无不体现了鲁迅对显克微支的继承、借鉴与超越。

The novel creations of Lu Hsun were patterned upon foreign writers. Among them, Henryk Siekiewicz, the most outstanding and prolific Polish writer, was Lu Hsun＇s favorite. Lun Hsun followed the example of works of Siekiewicz, whose early works are satirical sketches, betraying a strong social conscience. The creative method is embodied in three aspects： creation technique： satiric skills （litotes）, namely, expressing grief and indignation with humorous patterns; text structure： using subtitle; text expression art： from concrete sentence to ＂jottings＂, to terse, outstanding and vigorous ending. It can be concluded that Lu Hsun not only inherited, drew excellent creation skills from Siekiewicz, but also, and more importantly, made more outstanding achievements than the latter.
