英译《江雪》的时空错位及补救措施

A study of disorientation and mending strategies in the English versions of River Snow

古诗英译中存在时空错位,具体体现在语言的内在性和外在性两个方面。为了使译作成功达到跨文化交际的目的,翻译过程中必须对此进行补救。诗歌翻译中的补救措施有:针对诗歌内在形式差异的补救和研究对象主体命运和背景的补充说明。唐诗《江雪》的英译就是一个很好的说明。

In English versions of ancient Chinese poems exists disorientation in time and space, which is specifically embodied in the internal and external features of language. To communicate inter-culturally successfully, disorientation must be mended during the process of Chinese-English translation. The mending strategies used in poem translation include those aiming at the internal formal differences between languages and the supplementary explanation of both the writer and the social background of the poem. The English version of River Snow, a poem of the Tang Dynasty is a case in point.
