Like common words and phrases, the abbreviations in business English with special constructions or forms are of general grammatical functions. This paper is to make a research of the origin, forms and grammatical functions of the abbreviations in the register of commercial affairs so as to help the commercial workers to improve the ability of translating the commercial documents and letters.
