PU Song-ling's Ideology of Forestry Technology

蒲松龄的林业科学技术思想来源于传统的、浓厚的农本思想和对前代林业科学技术成就的继承与发展。他结合农业生产与实践,简明扼要、通俗易懂地介绍了林木、花草的科学知识和树木栽培与管理的技术,同时提出了修坝筑堰对水土流失进行小流域治理的思路和农林复合发展的超前构思,编纂出了《日用俗字》、《农桑经》和《农桑经残稿》等农业科学技术著作。而其中的林业科学技术思想,对当代的林业建设具有一定的实用价值和借鉴意义。

PU Song-ling＇ s ideology of forestry technology originated from the strong and traditional agricuhure-based idea, as well as the inheritance and development of forestry technology of preceding period. His ideology has a marked characteristic： he had briefly, simply and clearly introduced the scientific knowledge of forest and flower, planting and management technology of trees by linking the agricultural production and practice. At the same time, he raised the thought of building dams to control soil and water loss in small drainage areas, as well as a surpassing design of the complex development of agriculture and forestry. Those agricultural technology literatures such as Daily Colloquialism 《日用俗字》, Farming and Mulberry Scripture 《农桑经》and Farming and Mulberry Remnant Scripture 《农桑经残稿》 were compiled according to this ideology. The forestry technology ideology in these literatures have a great practicability and reference value for contemporary forestry construction.
