On Strategies to Promote Urban-Rural Comprehensive Development by Urbanization——A Case Study of Guangxi

以广西近5年的城乡差距及城市化与城乡差距的相关关系做了实证分析,认为中国城乡居民收入差距仍在扩大,城乡社会发展差距悬殊,其深刻根源在于城乡二元体制。没有城乡经济的统筹发展,就没有经济协调、可持续的发展。

The author has conducted empirical analysis on urban-rural gap of Guangxi ouer the past five years and the co-relation between urbanization and urban-rural gap. He holds that the income gap between urban and rural residents in China is enlarging and that there is a huge gap between urban and rural social development. These gaps originate in the urban-rural dual system. Without urban-rural comprehensive economic planning and development, there will be no economically-coordinated and sustainable development.
