摘要
描述了一种兼有联机式和独立式的实用型指纹识别系统.在联机式工作模式下,终端通过以太网和中央服务器连接,将指纹算法的运行、指纹数据库的存储放在服务器端,该系统具有存储量大、运算速度快、功能强等特点,但是一旦网络瘫痪则系统无法工作;独立式指纹识别系统能够在终端识别指纹,不依赖网络,通过将两者结合起来,解决了指纹识别系统中性能和可靠性的矛盾。
A practical type of fingerprint identification system which has the property of both online type and freestanding type was proposed. In the online mode, the terminal connected to a central server through Ethernet, and the execution of fingerprint algorithm and storage of fingerprint data was implemented in server. So this mode has the property of strong calculation capability and powerful functions. But it will stop working, if the network paralysis. In the freestanding mode, it can identify fungerprint within terminal, independent of the network. By coupling up these two modes, the contradiction of performance and reliability in fingerprint identification system was resolved..
